Top Songs September, 2010

Note: This is my personal favorite list, based on my own iTunes account, personal CDs I have mixed for my car, and the songs I'll let play out before stepping out the door :)

It's a nice variety - a mixture of pop, hip hop, country and rock.  I have a very eclectic taste, but who wants to listen to the same old stuff over and over again anyway?

50 Years Ago...

The year was 1960, and the top song on the Billboard chart was the Twist by Chubby Checker!  This song was actually recorded in the city of Philadelphia ... Who knew it would be such a huge deal?

At the same time, Georgia on My Mind by Ray Charles was another hit!
