Photography: Trees
51The Park
I've never been one to run. Can't do it. Don't enjoy it. Don't really understand WHY people would run unless they were being chased by Freddy Krueger.
However, I do enjoy exercise.
Especially walking.
And walking outdoors is quite enjoyable for me.
So, when there's time, and I'm not sitting here sharing my thoughts with all of you, I go for a walk. As I stroll around the park, I pull out my camera, not being able to hide my smile as I stare at the beauty of nature. (Yes, I am dorky like that.)
I'd like to share my visions with you...
It's a simple walking path.
A lady jogs past me pushing a stroller, but I keep my pace, not really fazed by anyone else's urgency.
The trees stand beside me, in front of me, then behind me. They reach to the sky, and although I've always been afraid of heights, for just a split second, I'm jealous of the birds that fly from one to the next with such grace and ease.
But then again, they don't hold my camera. I have a remarkable gift right now - I'm going to capture what I'm seeing - and that moment, no, that split second, will forever be caught on film.
Now, you are about to see my two favorite shots - the first another black and white of three trees. I'm no nature expert, but I wonder how long they have been there. How many other photographers, teenagers, people, stood where I'm standing and took this same picture?
Then, I took my final picture with color. Why?
Because, in my mind, God was truly smiling down.

Everyone has a childhood to look back upon and remember either fondly or with regrets. I have my fair share of both pleasant memories as well as ones I would rather forget... But without those times, I wouldn't be who I am today.
