Sitcom Summary
I Love Lucy was a thirty-minute comedy that aired from 1951 through 1960 on CBS. The idea centered around husband and wife, Ricky and Lucy Ricardo. Their best friends, Fred and Ethel Mertz, also happened to be their landlords.
Ricky was a bandleader, and Lucy was desperate to break into show business. The couple often found themselves in sticky situations because of Lucy's silly plans.
Lighthearted and entertaining, I Love Lucy is truly an American classic.
The Stars of I Love Lucy
Lucille Ball - Lucy
Desi Arnaz - Ricky *
Vivian Vance - Ethel
William Frawley - Fred
* The theme song, which most people still don't know, was originally sung by Desi Arnaz. MY favorite line: "And life is heaven, you see, 'cause I love Lucy..."

A Memorable Moment
Lucy tells Ricky she's pregnant, (or, rather, "expecting"), and he classically sings the song, We're Having a Baby.
What a great love moment.
The emotions were so real. Every time I watch this clip, I get filled up.
In real life, Desi and Lucy did indeed have two children. A son, Desi Arnaz, Jr, and a daughter, Lucie Arnaz

I Love Lucy the show, her and all her episodes. I love the one when she does the commercial below. I laugh so hard. She is one of my idols!
Barbara Eden once said that she owed her success in Hollywood to Lucille Ball. She said that she was ready to give up and go back home to Arizona when she met Ms. Ball. Ms. Ball told her she needed to get her pretty face in front of a camera. Ms. Ball even arranged for her to have an appearance on "I Love Lucy". Lucille Ball led the way for all female comics who followed. She was the pioneer in female comedy.
"I Love Lucy" reruns were the last piece of enjoyment my sister had on this earth.
A Final Quote
I'm happy that I have brought laughter because I have been shown by many the value of it in so many lives, in so many ways...
