Easter Decorations

After His crucification, Christians believe, Jesus rose three days later.

Easter Sunday.

Easter also marks the end of the liturgical season of Lent, which will begin Wednesday, March 9th, 2011.  

Children enjoy the idea of the Easter Bunny, much like Santa Claus a Christmas, hopping into their homes on the night before Easter and leaving gifts or candies in a basket for them.

Easter is a joyous holiday, because Christ has opened the gates of heaven for us.

Children should be encouraged to be happy on Easter morning, and God would want us to enjoy this family time together.

If children are seeing these religious decorations and misunderstanding or becoming confused over the meaning of Easter, it may help to read a children's book about Easter to them.

Books can actually add as decorations to a child's bedroom.

Set the books on top of your child's shelf or dresser and allow them to see the true meaning of Easter while preparing to celebrate the holiday.

These can be indoors or outdoors.

They typically come pre-assembled and only need a safe location to be placed in.  

For years, I hung lighted fixtures in my windows, and it always makes others smile as they pass by your house.

Sometimes the simplest decorations make the nicest touch.

A knick-knack on the table or something to hang on the door might add just the right feel to a room to get you in the Easter mood.
