PostSecret: A Secret Sharing Phenomenon
69Did You Ever Read... PostSecret?
What It's All About
While I was searching for another read, I found the fifth PostSecret book that had been released just over a year ago. Having purchased the other four books already, I knew, without even opening the cover, I would want this addition to the groundbreaking series.
PostSecret is a collection created by Frank Warren. People, anyone anywhere, can mail Warren their secrets, which he may then use either in a book publication or for viewers to see on his website.
Both the books and website are full of heartbreaking, depressing, angry, funny, meaningful, and memorable secrets. Secrets that someone in some part of the world held close to their heart and felt the need to let go. Some have made me cry while others make me laugh out loud.
If you enjoy reading the type of writing that can be revisited over and over again, the PostSecret novels are 100% for you, because you won't be able to turn away.
The PostSecret Books
- PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives
- My Secret: A PostSecret Book
- The Secret Lives of Men and Women: A PostSecret Book
- A Lifetime of Secrets: A PostSecret Book
- PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death & God
Where to Mail Secrets
Maybe you will be motivated to mail in one of your own secrets. Remember all are anonymous, and it may make you feel better to lift that weight off of your shoulder!
Either take a 4 by 6 postcard, or take an index card and place it in an envelope, and cover one side with an image and your secret. Be creative and make it something to remember.
Mail in as many secrets as you wish to:

Examples of Secrets
By now I have read through all of the PostSecret books plus visited Frank Warren's site at least once each month.
Please take the time to read through the following as examples and hopefully some will have meaning for you as well.
And maybe you will be inspired to mail in your secret... Or find the courage to do so.
PostSecret's Website
For more information on PostSecret, visit PostSecret.com. Secrets are continuously posted.
I look at it like this:
People out there took the time to write, draw, create and share their thoughts. Some secrets so painful I could never relate, while others I hate to admit being able to relate to...
Since they took the time to share them, I can at least take the time to read them.
